Key Information
We’re delighted to announce that we have secured a location for our Park and Ride service for Heartland Festival 2026.
Dates: Friday 26th - Sunday 28th June 2026
Location: Ballinluig, Pitlochry PH9 OLQ
Distance: 4.8 miles (less than 10 mins to the festival site)
Price: £12.50 per day per vehicle (plus booking fee)
Bookings: Strictly pre-booked only through our website.
Availability: Park and Ride will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Key Times:
(Friday) Car Park opens at 13:00. Buses will be ready to leave. The last bus from the festival to Ballinluig is at 23:30, and the car park closes at 23:45.
(Saturday/Sunday) The car park opens at 10:00. Buses will be ready to leave. The last bus from the festival to Ballinluig is at 23:30, and the car park closes at 23:45.
Pitlochry Collection/Drop Offs: We have many large buses operating on a continuous loop with minimal delay. In the centre of Pitlochry, the drop-off point is Fishers Hotel and the collection from The Old Mill. (short walk to festival site)
Vehicles: All vehicles are accepted, but overnight stays are not permitted.
Security: There will be security on-site throughout the three days/nights.

Advisory Note: To avoid bus waiting times, please arrive in good time to get to the festival from the Park and Ride.

Below you will find our terms and conditions for the 2026 Park and Ride in Ballinluig.
Operating Hours
Friday
• Car Park Opens: 1.00 pm
• First Bus Departs: 1.00 pm
• Service Closes: 11.45 pm
Saturday & Sunday
• Car Park Opens: 10.00 am
• First Bus Departs: 10.00 am
• Service Closes: 11.45 pm
Please ensure you allow sufficient time to return to the Park & Ride site before the final bus.
- The organisers accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury incurred in the car park area, except where it results directly from the organisers’ negligence. Vehicles and their contents are left at the owner’s risk.
• A valid Park & Ride parking ticket must be purchased in advance.
• Tickets should be printed prior to arrival, clearly displayed in the front windscreen of your vehicle upon entry to the car park and remain visible at all times. Vehicles without a visible ticket may be refused entry.
• All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Tickets are valid only for the specific day(s) for which they are purchased and cannot be transferred to another day.
Vehicle Use
• Vehicles must remain stationary once parked until departure.
• Overnight camping or sleeping in vehicles is not permitted in the car park.
• Any vehicles not removed by noon on the Monday following the event may be towed away. A reasonable fee will be charged to cover removal and storage costs before the vehicle is released.
Dogs
• Dogs are welcome in the car park area but must be kept on a lead at all times in accordance with the Dangerous Dogs Act.
• Dog owners are responsible for the prompt and hygienic collection and disposal of their dog’s waste in the bins provided.
• Dog owners are responsible for any damage, loss, or injury caused by their animal and must ensure their dog remains under control at all times.
Park and Ride Buses
• Passengers are legally required to wear the seat belts provided. Seat belts must be worn at all times while the bus is in motion.
• Children aged 5 years or older must have their own seat and ticket. If a child under 5 years occupies a seat, a car seat is required.
• Each passenger is allowed to bring one small backpack. No food or drink is allowed into the festival (please refer to the Heartland Festival FAQ page). Larger items are not permitted.
• Dogs are welcome on our buses. Where appropriate, dogs must be muzzled and kept on a lead in accordance with the Dangerous Dogs Act. Dogs must remain under control at all times and are not allowed to sit on the seats.
• Passengers bringing animals on board are responsible for any damage, loss, or injury caused by the animal.
• Consumption of food and drink is not allowed on the bus.
• Consumption of alcohol or drugs on the bus is prohibited. The driver has the right to refuse access to anyone who is under the influence. If a person is refused access, they will not receive a refund and must make their own travel arrangements to and from the park and ride.
• Bicycles and e-scooters are not permitted on the bus. Small prams and folded buggies may be carried, subject to space availability and the discretion of the driver.
• Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is not permitted on the bus.
• Passengers must behave respectfully, avoiding abusive or threatening behaviour, and must not cause offence to others.
• Loud music or personal devices must not be played at a volume that disturbs other passengers or the driver.
• Passengers must not leave rubbish or discarded items on the bus. Soiled clothing or items that might stain the seats are not allowed.
• If a passenger is sick on the bus, the driver must be alerted immediately. The bus will then be taken out of service until it has been cleaned.
• Passengers must follow the instructions of bus staff at all times and show due regard for the safety and comfort of others.
• In the event of an emergency, such as an injury while boarding, travelling or disembarking, passengers should notify the driver safely and immediately.
• Talking to or distracting the driver while the bus is moving is prohibited except in emergencies.
• Interfering with bus equipment is not allowed.
• There are no toilet facilities on the bus.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any passenger from the bus if their behaviour compromises the safety, security, or comfort of others.
Conduct and Safety
• Loud music or personal devices must not be played at a volume that disturbs other car park users.
• Visitors must follow the instructions of Park & Ride staff at all times and show consideration for the safety and comfort of others.
• Toilet facilities are available within the Park & Ride area.
• Visitors must not leave rubbish or discarded items in the car park. Waste bins will be provided and must be used.
Right of Refusal
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person whose behaviour compromises the safety, security, or comfort of other visitors or staff.
Acceptance of Terms
By using the Park & Ride service, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Failure to do so may result in refusal of entry or removal from the site without refund.
