29-30 June 2024 | Pitlochry

The inaugural Heartland Festival took place in Pitlochry on 29 and 30 June 2024. More than 8,000 people attended across the two days, making the festival’s first year a huge success and establishing Heartland as an exciting new addition to Scotland’s music festival calendar.

The Main Stage welcomed a fantastic lineup of Scottish musical talent, including Idlewild, The View, Tide Lines and Skerryvore. Alongside these established names, the Discovery Stage introduced audiences to a wide range of emerging artists and gave them the opportunity to perform in front of a new festival crowd.

Heartland also brought thousands of visitors into Pitlochry and the surrounding area. Local accommodation providers, hospitality businesses, shops and other services benefited from the increased number of people visiting the town throughout the festival weekend.

The support from festivalgoers, the local community, businesses, suppliers, artists and the wider Heartland team helped turn Graham Howie’s original vision into a successful first festival. Heartland 2024 laid strong foundations for the years ahead and will always hold an important place in our story.
