Accessibility
We want Heartland to be welcoming and accessible to everyone.
A dedicated Blue Badge parking area will be located close to the main festival arena. Accessible toilets and a designated accessible viewing area will also be available on-site.
Complimentary tickets are available for essential companions and carers. Applications are also required for access to the accessible viewing area.
Once you have purchased your own festival ticket, your confirmation email will include a link to our Accessibility Requirements Form. This form can be used to request a complimentary companion ticket and access to the accessible viewing area. Please provide supporting documentation confirming your eligibility when completing the form.
Once your application has been reviewed and approved, your companion ticket and confirmation of your accessible viewing area access, where requested, will be sent to you by email.
You are only permitted to have two people in the accessible viewing area - the carer/companion and the festivalgoer. Places are limited and once all have been allocated, there are no more.
As Heartland takes place in a field, some areas may be uneven and ground conditions can be affected by the weather. Please take this into consideration when planning your visit.
If you have any questions about accessibility or the support available, please contact us before the festival and our team will be happy to help.
FOOD & DRINK
A wide range of food and drink will be available to purchase throughout the festival, with vendors on hand to cater for a range of dietary requirements and food intolerances.
You are welcome to bring nibbles and non-alcoholic drinks into the main festival arena. We simply ask that common sense is applied and that all items remain sealed in their original packaging until you reach the entrance.
Permitted items include:
- Crisps, chocolate, sweets and cereal or protein bars
- Whole fruit, dried fruit, trail mix and nuts
- Yoghurt tubes or pots

If you need to bring specific food or drink into the arena for medical reasons, please contact us in advance and provide supporting medical documentation.
Our security team and volunteers retain final discretion over which items are permitted into the main festival arena.
