Heartland returned to Pitlochry from 26 to 28 June 2026, expanding to two and a half days for the first time. The opening Friday began at 3pm before a full programme of music continued across Saturday and Sunday, welcoming approximately 18,000 people over the festival weekend.
Marti Pellow opened the weekend as Friday’s headliner, with fans travelling from far and wide to see him perform at Heartland. Skipinnish brought Saturday to a memorable close before Peat & Diesel completed the weekend with an energetic Sunday night headline performance.
The Main Stage lineup was supported by another packed programme of emerging Scottish talent on the Discovery Stage. The stage proved extremely popular throughout the weekend and continued to give festivalgoers the opportunity to discover new artists alongside some of Scotland’s best-known performers.
The weather was not quite as kind as it had been in 2024 and 2025, with rain showers arriving during the weekend. However, this did little to dampen the spirits of the crowd. Heartland 2026 became our biggest festival to date and marked another important step forward in the festival’s story.
