Introducing Nick Shane – Performing on Saturday 27 June 2026 on the Scottish Citylink Discovery Stage

Scotland-based singer-songwriter Nick Shane brings a fearless, genre-spanning sound to the Heartland Festival, blending mod, punk and indie energy with soulful songwriting and raw experimentation. With over one million streams on Spotify, Nick has spent the past decade carving out a distinctive place in the UK music scene through consistently bold and authentic releases.

Nick’s songwriting moves fluidly between acoustic, soulful reflections and heavier, chaotic textures rooted in mod, grunge and psychedelic influences. This versatility runs throughout his catalogue, with recent releases including Gimme Shelter (featuring The Belle Stars), Feverland, Long Brown Hair and The Girl With The Freaky Gun. Each track showcases a different side of an artist unafraid to evolve while staying true to his creative instincts.

His wider body of work includes standout collaborations such as Stranger Times, featuring Ally McErlaine of Texas, and Shine Over Me, whose video starred Scottish TV icon Gail Porter. In 2022, Nick released Wired To The Moon, an album that resonated strongly with listeners and marked a significant milestone in his career.

Nick Shane’s live performances reflect the same intensity and range as his recordings — expressive, unpredictable and emotionally charged, offering audiences something genuinely distinctive.
