[ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT] – Islay Crowe
by: Simon Clark
Introducing Islay Crowe – Performing on Sunday 28 June 2026 on the Scottish Citylink Discovery Stage
Islay Crowe is a young singer-songwriter whose music is shaped by a deep connection to nature and place. Spending much of her time in and around Pitlochry, she draws inspiration from the landscapes that surround her, weaving those influences into thoughtful, heartfelt songwriting.
Gifted her first guitar at just seven years old, Islay quickly developed a passion for music that continues to grow. Her sound blends gentle storytelling with influences drawn from across genres, including Dolly Parton, Beluga Lagoon and Chuck Berry. The result is a style that feels both grounded and exploratory — rooted in tradition while allowing space for curiosity and creativity.
Islay’s songs reflect a natural honesty and a love for the world around her, delivered with warmth and sincerity. As a young artist at the beginning of her journey, her performances offer a glimpse into a voice that is already developing a strong sense of identity and expression.
Her appearance at Heartland Festival is a chance to discover an emerging talent inspired by environment, emotion and the simple joy of making music.
Catch Islay Crowe on the Scottish Citylink Discovery Stage on Sunday 28 June 2026. Tickets here.
