Introducing The Carloways – Performing on Sunday 28 June 2026 on the Scottish Citylink Discovery Stage

The Carloways are back. After a brief hiatus, the band have reunited and returned with renewed energy, fresh material and a clear sense of momentum. Known for their charismatic performances and strong connection with audiences, their return marks an exciting moment for fans old and new.

Across their earlier run, The Carloways built an impressive live reputation, including 17 sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, appearances at festivals such as Eden Festival and Kelburn Garden Party, and becoming a firm favourite at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival. Their debut self-titled EP and album Resuscitator were recorded at 45-a-side Recordings with producer Paul McInally, with every single from the album receiving airplay on BBC Radio Scotland.

Written by Maclennan and featuring an eclectic range of musicians, Resuscitator showcased the band’s creative depth and collaborative spirit, helping cement their place on the Scottish music circuit.

In 2025, The Carloways’ return gathered serious momentum with a sold-out hometown reunion show at Perth Theatre, followed by a slot on Belladrum’s iconic Garden Stage. With new material underway and a second album in progress, the band’s next chapter is firmly taking shape.
