HF - September 2025 Update

Our September 2025 – Update

by: Simon Clark

01 September 2025

Hi Everyone

We cannot believe that it was only a couple of months ago when we were all having an amazing time in the hot sun of Pitlochry. It won’t be long until we’re all back there again. Well, it’s just under 300 days — but who’s counting?

Each month, we will be releasing a short update on our website and socials to keep you all in the loop with progress. As you may well know, we try to be as transparent and upfront as possible at all times, because we believe this is the only way to be.

Ticket sales to date are still very strong — especially after the amazing response to our early bird offer, where our allocation of 3,000 tickets quickly sold out.

Our team have been busy working behind the scenes to get things in place. We are super organised (if we do say so ourselves!) and adapting to changes which are outside of our control. Yes, we can get frustrated, but we are doing the best we can to put on another amazing weekend of music for you.

We’ll have more news about the campsite shuttle buses and an update on the car parking / park ‘n’ ride for you as soon as we have them. These things can sometimes take a little time to come to fruition — but we’re on it.

You may have seen that we have secured the services of our drinks vendors again for 2025, which is super exciting and was well received on social media. For those of you who are interested, we are looking to work with the same company again who provided our super clean toilets for 2024 and 2025. (“Phew” we hear you say!)

What is happening with the artists and lineup for 2026?

This is the one question we’re getting asked all the time — and we appreciate that it’s one of the key reasons why people attend events and music festivals alike.

To date, we have announced 9 artists for the Main Stage of the festival weekend (Sat/Sun), and the other announcements will follow soon. As we released in our previous statement, discussions are ongoing and there are some contractual obligations regarding announcements and dates which we must adhere to.

We can assure you it will be worth it — and you will like what we have planned for you.

Let’s not forget that we introduced our ‘An Evening With…’ for the Friday Night, and the early bird ticket price of just £25.00 is still live. We are close to announcing the support artists for this, but the headliner may have to be further down the line.

What is happening with the Discovery Stage artists?

This is one of the fundamental elements of the festival for us. We love to showcase exciting up-and-coming Scottish talent on our second stage. Marion McDonald (our Artist Liaison) has been working super hard to get our line-up together. Marion is talking to LOTS of artists at present and also attending quite a few gigs around Scotland on scouting missions.

In the last 2½ years, we must have received over 500 applications from individuals and bands applying to play at the festival. Marion’s job is to narrow this down to 14 acts to play across the two days. Without Marion, we wouldn’t have the Discovery Stage — so Marion’s role is crucial to our success too.

What is happening with the ticket prices?

Short and simple — they will be going up soon. For each ticketing tier, we have a specific number of tickets, and we are getting close to selling out this allocation.

Therefore, if you haven’t got your tickets yet for The Heartland Festival, now is the best time to do so — because this is the only place you can get your tickets at the lowest price. (We believe it’s still excellent value — but we are of course extremely biased!!)

We are working with a partner for ticket reselling, and we’ll have some news on that soon. Please be mindful that there are a number of people and/or fake profiles on social media trying to sell tickets. It’s happening everywhere at the moment, and the music industry is rife with this problem.

Have we missed anything out?

We think that’s it for now, and we hope you’ve enjoyed reading our September 2025 update. There are lots of moving parts to running a music festival, and we are doing everything we can to ensure you all get to know first when things are confirmed.

Thank you for your time in reading this. We love the support we are receiving — and we love running the Heartland Festival.

Before we go, if you would like to ensure you are up to date with our announcements, please make sure you LIKE and FOLLOW our Facebook page. This is often our first port of call for keeping you all in the loop.

Until next time…
