[HEADLINER ANNOUNCEMENT] – Peat & Diesel
by: Simon Clark
We’re thrilled to confirm that Peat & Diesel will headline the Sunday night of the Heartland Festival 2026, closing out the weekend in true Western Isles style.
The Stornoway trio — Boydie, Innes and Uilly — have built a huge following thanks to their unique blend of trad-rock, storytelling and off-the-wall humour. What started as a jam session with just a dog and a cat in the room has exploded into a Scottish music phenomenon — complete with sell-out tours, viral tracks and the unstoppable rise of #Peatlemania.
With their third studio album on the way and a fanbase that stretches from the Hebrides to the Hydro, we’re buzzing to bring them to Pitlochry on Sunday 28th June for what promises to be an unmissable finale to the festival.
Festival Owner Graham Howie said: “Almost everyone has requested Peat & Diesel to come and play at the Heartland Festival, and we are very confident this announcement will be well received. They are very much in demand, and we’re delighted to have them join us for what is shaping up to be an amazing weekend of live music.”
They join a stacked 2026 line-up that includes, Starsailor, Torridon, Ben Walker, Sandi Thom, The Skids, The Laurettes and many more — plus our Friday ‘An Evening With’ showcase featuring Cammy Barnes, Billy Reekie, Katie Nicoll, and one final headliner to be revealed soon.
Saturday headliner to be announced shortly.
