[ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT] – Kim Carnie
by: Simon Clark
We’re proud to welcome one of Scotland’s most distinctive voices to the Heartland Festival 2026 main stage.
Kim Carnie will perform on Sunday 28th June, bringing her blend of traditional Gaelic roots and contemporary cinematic soundscapes to Pitlochry.
Described by The Scotsman as possessing a “velvet-voiced authority,” Kim has worked with a host of celebrated artists and ensembles across the folk world — from the Transatlantic Sessions to Trio da Kali. She’s also known as the lead singer of the award-winning band Mànran, and a founding member of experimental folk ensemble Staran.
Her voice has travelled far beyond the stage, featuring in the soundtracks for Netflix’s Outlaw King, Black Mirror, and more — but 2026 sees Kim Carnie centre-stage, live at Heartland.
