We’re delighted to welcome Copper Lungs back to Heartland Festival as they join us on Saturday 26 June 2027.

The Dundee-based alt-pop band first appeared on the Discovery Stage at the very first Heartland Festival in 2024. Their performance made an immediate impression, earning them a well-deserved move to the Main Stage in 2025. Now, after another incredible couple of years, we’re thrilled to have them back once again for Heartland 27.

Copper Lungs have become great friends of the festival, and it’s been fantastic to watch their journey. Their rise has been nothing short of remarkable, with sold-out headline shows, festival appearances across the UK and growing recognition as one of Scotland’s most exciting emerging bands.

Their emotionally charged sound blends soaring melodies, cinematic production and heartfelt songwriting, creating songs that are just as powerful live as they are through your headphones. Throughout 2026, they continued to build momentum with a string of sold-out shows, while all five of their singles released during the year received airplay on BBC Radio Scotland.

The band’s growing reputation has also seen them share stages with artists including Elliot Minor and Ben Walker, while this autumn they’ll perform at Glasgow’s iconic Barrowland Ballroom as main support for Cammy Barnes at a sold-out show.

Watching Copper Lungs grow over the past few years has been a real pleasure, and we’re incredibly proud that Heartland has played a part in their story. They’re a band going places, and we’re delighted they’ve accepted our invitation to return for 2027.

Heartland 27 takes place from 25–27 June 2027 at our new home in Ballinluig, Pitlochry, with two stages of live music, camping, family entertainment and children aged 12 and under admitted free with a paying adult.
