Heartland Festival has always been about more than just the music. It’s about the people, the friendships, the memories and the moments that stay with you long after the final song has been played.

One of those moments came during Heartland Festival 2026, when Kat Grieve – affectionately known by many as the ‘Face of Heartland’ – was surprised with a canvas of a much-loved Heartland photograph, captured by Simon Clark and personally signed by her favourite band, Skipinnish.

The surprises didn’t end there. Kat and her family were also invited backstage to spend some time with Ben Walker before his performance, creating another unforgettable memory from an already special weekend.
