About The Tumbling Souls

The Tumbling Souls are a Scottish band from the Isle of Lewis who use 60’s song structure and elements of Trad, Country and Rock to create a unique and uplifting sound.

Comprised of members of Face The West, Astrid and Ho Ro, they have many years of live experience. They learned how to work a crowd from playing in bars and at Ceilidhs, interacting with audiences and winning over new fans.

The group's talented tune players, who emerged from the Feis movement, take centre stage in their sound, skilfully complementing the arrangements without overpowering them.

After live video recordings of the band performing in various locations on the Isle of Lewis went viral, the band recorded their debut album ‘Between the Truth and the Dream’ which was released in July 2018 on ‘Wee Studio Records’ to rave reviews.

2024 sees the band recording and releasing the long awaited follow up.

The new single ‘Sailing a Boiling Sea’ builds on what they’ve been learning, it features a tight, pop structure while staying true to the band’s Scottish roots, Adam Sutherland’s well know fiddle tune was played during the development of the song and fit so well that the band agreed it should stay. Adam very kindly agreed to it’s use.
